They flew out of the gate with three goals in the first 20 minutes by Simon Wright, Joe Forster and Joel Sheppard.
Wright added to his tally in the second half to come away with a hat trick for the day.
In the other men’s fixtures, Wodonga skipped clear in second spot with a 3-1 win over Norths, while CR United continued its good form with a 4-0 defeat of Falcons.
United were unable to repeat the dose in the women’s, falling 4-1 to Falcons.
Falcons got an early mark on the scoreboard through a tomahawk shot by Mikaela Blackshaw, which was touched in by Sally Borella.
United attacked relentlessly and got the equaliser with a quick push in by Georgie James going into the second half, but their lack of bench began to show which enabled Falcons to put away a further three goals.
Norths upset Wodonga 2-1 in the remaining clash.
