Albury-Hume was chartered on August 26, 1977, under its first president Les Muir, who was also chairman of the Albury-Wodonga Development Corporation.
The club has instigated many projects to improve community life in Albury and overseas.
It backed the Kintenden project to re-establish a kindergarten in Tanzania and at home it provides hampers for the elderly and less mobile.
Albury-Hume’s youth development programs comprised Midnight Basketball; River of Stories, an essay competition; debating competition; Schoolies Week, an assistance program for a village in Fiji; and Rotary Student Exchange.
Past members are welcome to attend the celebrations. For inquiries email julie.frauenfelder@icloud.com or phone 0418 578 196.
