Rhett Dewhurst, 42, was served an intervention order last Friday after smashing a ceramic bowl at his mum's house and throwing firewood.
He was banned from going within five metres of the woman and within 200 metres of her home.
Despite this, he returned the following day and was arrested and bailed.
He again breached the family violence notice on Monday, and was again arrested.
Dewhurst faced court after the last incident and was admonished by magistrate Ian Watkins.
“It's a disgraceful way to treat his mother,” he told the court.
“Yeah it is,” Dewhurst yelled back.
He will return to Wodonga court on October 9.
