Coughlan, who was selected at pick 23 in the 2015 rookie draft, showed promise in his debut season playing with Sandringham in the VFL before being hampered by foot and hamstring injuries.
“Nick displayed a high level of professionalism in his time at the Saints. We thank him for his contribution to the club and wish him well in his future endeavours,” chief operating officer Ameet Bains said.
International scholarship holder Joe Baker-Thomas has also been delisted.
Meanwhile, AFL national academy coach Luke Power has visited Wangaratta to oversee training with the Murray Bushrangers.
“It’s great to get out to the TAC Cup clubs to see the coaches who are developing the players at AFL under 18 level, but it’s also great to see the players and be able to interact and talk to the next generation of AFL talent,” Power said.
