The star Demon booted his 100th goal of the Upper Murray campaign in the final quarter of his side’s massive grand final victory against Bullioh on Saturday.
Williams finished the home and away season with 94 to his name, before adding two in the major semi-final – making four the magic number in the decider.
A second quarter blitz from Corryong saw Williams move to 99 and the century was up early in the final term.
“It’s something I never thought I could do and to do it with a bunch of blokes like this is pretty incredible,” Williams said.
“I played here in 2015 and I thought if I could kick 40 or 50 I’d be pretty happy, but the way the tables turned, it turned out to be a fairy tale finish.
“At the start of the game I was trying not to think about it, but when I got to 99 I was pretty excited.
“I couldn’t have done it without the team we had this year, the forward line gelled and I’ve got mates I’ve met this year that I’ll have for life.”
