The Charles Sturt University Associate Professor will speak about the impact of World War I on the North East and Border region, including regarding post-war immigration history and heritage.
Dr Pennay, who won a Medal of the Order of Australia in 2009 for his efforts to help establish the Bonegilla Migrant Reception Centre Heritage Park, will also draw on the conscription refernda and its social impact.
The exhibition continues until September 17.
