Wodonga man Daniel Cameron is in Loddon Prison, serving a six-month sentence for the attack on the drug dealer earlier this year.
He returned to court this week after being pulled over in South Street on January 28.
Police had asked him to undergo a roadside drug test and noticed a hunting knife, tomahawk and tyre lever in the car within reaching distance.
He refused to do the drug test and had to be removed from the car and arrested.
The court heard Cameron is due for release on September 29 after the violent meth-related assault, which came after a woman was sold “ice” that turned out to be cutting agent.
Given his history of drug driving, Cameron was banned from the roads for four years.
