The host​ ​of​ ​SBS ​series​ ​Destination​ ​Flavour​ ​will show participants ​​how​ ​to​ ​prepare​ ​a​ ​simple​ ​wine-matched​ ​meal on November 18 and 19.

Classes will run at 11am​ ​and​ ​2pm both days.​

The master classes coincide with the La Dolce Vita wine and food festival, which celebrates the bountiful produce grown in the King Valley.

Wines of the King Valley marketing officer Alison Lloyd said 11​ ​participating​ ​wineries​ ​would open​ ​their​ ​cellar​ ​doors​ ​for​ ​tastings​ ​of new​ ​release​ ​and​ ​museum​ ​release​ ​wines,​ ​authentic​ ​cuisine​,​ ​live​ ​music,​ ​roving​ ​entertainers,​ ​children’s activities and​ ​masterclasses​.

“This​ ​is​ ​an​ ​opportunity​ ​to​ ​experience​ ​life​ ​in​ ​the​ ​King​ ​Valley​ ​the​ ​way​ ​we​ ​know​ ​it​ ​– time​ ​with​ ​friends,​ ​family​ ​and​ ​great​ ​food,​ ​in​ ​a​ ​beautiful​ ​setting,” she said.​

Among highlights of the festival La Cantina will host a local​ ​produce​ ​and​ ​handmade​ ​goods​ ​market​.

The​ ​Corsini​ ​family,​ ​including​ ​the grandchildren​ ​of​ ​winemaker​ ​Gino,​ ​will host​ ​local​ ​makers and​ ​producers throughout the weekend.​ ​

Festival goers can browse​ ​the​ ​stalls​ ​of​ ​​fruit,​ ​preserves​ ​and craft​ ​with​ ​a​n ​espresso​ ​in hand.

Politini Wines will host a Sicilian seafood feast, matched​ ​with​ ​savoury​ ​wine​ ​styles​ ​in​ ​pink,​ ​white​ ​and​ ​red.

Dal Zotto Wines will present a prosecco​ ​party​ ​on November 18.

Otto​ ​Dal​ ​Zotto​ ​will serve ​​Tuscan​ ​pork​ ​rolls​ ​matched​ ​with​ ​prosecco​ ​cocktails on the Saturday night.

Live​ ​music​ ​by​ ​Paris​ ​Zachariou​ ​and​ ​a​ ​DJ​ ​set will run ​until​ ​8pm.

Pizzini Wines will host Gnocchi​ ​Carnevale where​ A​ ​Tavola!​ ​Cooking​ ​School​ will ​serve​ ​​gnocchi​ ​matched​ ​with new​ ​releases of​ ​pinot​ ​grigio​ ​and​ ​sangiovese​.

Children​ ​can​ ​make their​ ​own​ ​kites​ ​and​ ​fly​ ​them​ ​over​ ​the​ ​valley, ​or​ ​indulge​ ​in​ ​the​ ​ice​ ​cream​ ​bar.

King​ ​Valley​ ​Prosecco​ ​producers​ ​have​ ​collaborated​ ​with​ ​Bright​ ​Pops​ ​to​ ​create Prosecco​ ​Pops.

​Local​ ​produce​ ​such​ ​as​ ​alpine​ ​strawberries​ ​and​ ​white​ ​peaches​ ​are blended​ ​with​ ​King​ ​Valley​ ​prosecco.

Participating​ ​wineries are Brown​ ​Brothers, Chrismont, Dal​ ​Zotto, Darling​ ​Estate, Francesco, La​ ​Cantina, Merkel, Pizzini, Politini, Sam​ ​Miranda and Symphonia.
