Under 12 boys and girls will have their first sessions on Sunday, with the remaining age groups to start on the following two weekends.
The possibility remains for an under 18s representative side to be formed.
A decision will be made at the upcoming Victorian Country Football Leagues AGM once discussed and voted upon.
Once notified, AWFA vice-president of high performance Simon Randall will set up trials for this team.
The 2018 AWFA representative coaches have also been announced and are as follows:
Scott Holloway (under 12 girls), Jason Fitzpatrick (under 12 boys), Simon Randall (under 13 boys), Tony Cigana (under 14s girls), Ryan Van Grinsvan (under 14 boys), Phillip Page (under 15 boys) Fiona Smith (under 16 girls).
The under 16 boys coach is to be advised.
