The first images of the five-storey blocks, to be built at Junction Place were released yesterday by Labor MP Jaclyn Symes.
They show how the buildings will contain units with balconies and courtyards, along with three shops on the ground floor.
The complex, which will contain 86 apartments ranging from one to three-bedroom, was approved this week by Wodonga Council.
The planning permit includes a condition allowing a shortfall of 19 car parks to be provided at a later stage of Junction Place’s development.
Councillor Libby Hall voted against the permit, saying developers should provide adequate parking.
Council roads boss Leon Schultz said 90 to 95 extra bays were being provided on Smythe and South streets near the buildings, as well more on new roadways within Junction Place.
Construction of the buildings by Wodonga developer Central Place Pty Ltd is due to begin next year.
