Co-owner Anthony Ainsworth features in the replica of him at work in the traditional smokehouse in the wall mural fronting Young Street.
“The whole intent was to bring the inside out; people driving past can get a feeling of the place,” he said.
“It’s captured the essence of the smokehouse – it’s hot, smoky and reasonably intense because you’re always working the fire.”
Mr Ainsworth said Albury City Council had connected him with Albury street artist Kade Sarte, who did the mural with spray cans in less than two days earlier this month.
He said he had positive feedback from passersby and customers.
“Some of our older clients are particularly taken with it,” he said.
Employed to do street art at the Logan Road off-leash dog park, Sarte is making a name for himself around town.
“Three people pulled over while I was doing this job (Butt’s) to get me to do jobs,” he said.
