Price has joined the Swans as assistant-coach while Fouracre and Gerard Midson will co-coach the Upper Murray league club.
Midson said the pair would bring plenty to the table as Federal set out to improve on this year’s 17-point first semi-final loss to Border-Walwa.
“We had a specific area we wanted to improve and that was getting some stronger bodies and more experience to the club,” Midson said.
“Last year our average age was about 20 most weeks.
“They have experience and can teach our blokes out on the ground as well as at training.
“They are good by foot and can carry the football as well.”
Price and Fouracre, who had this year off, played in Howlong’s 2010 premiership under Marc Almond.
Fouracre, 33, crossed from Wodonga in the opening rounds that season and went on to win the Des Kennedy Medal for best afield in the grand final against Culcairn.
Price, also 33, is a former Howlong captain who has also played for Wodonga Raiders, Lavington and Dederang-Mt Beauty.
Midson said Federal hoped to unveil several more recruits in coming weeks.
“We are the same as everyone else in that we are talking to guys,” he said.
“A ruckman would be great.
“Steve and ‘Pricey’ have contacts as well but our main priority at the moment is securing the guys we have on our list.
“We have a commitment from about 85 per cent of them which is pretty good considering where we were last year. I would say we are three months ahead of last year.”
The signing of Midson and Fouracre finalises senior appointments in the competition for next year.
Nathan Lefoe (Cudgewa) and Mitch Fennessy (Tumbarumba) have entered the coaching ranks while Peter Dean and Clint Ried (Bullioh), Craig Bosley (Border-Walwa) and Evan Nicholas (Corryong) have been re-appointed.
