Mr Eden has agreed to be part of a panel at a session dealing with councils coming together post-amalgamation and lessons learned from the merger experience.
The Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council interim general manager Peter Tegart, Georges River Council general manager Gail Connolly and Mr Eden will present case studies on their areas.
Mayor Pat Bourke, deputy mayor Shaun Whitechurch and Cr Gail Law are confirmed attendees at the conference.
Mr Eden said yesterday he had no plans to withdraw from the conference following the sacking of general manager Chris Gillard.
Mr Eden extended Mr Gillard’s contract until 2020 last December.
Albury MP Greg Aplin couldn’t be contacted again about the prospect of the state government contributing to Mr Gillard’s payout.
