Australia has voted yes to gay marriage.
In Sussan Ley’s Farrer electorate, the vote was 55.2 per cent in favour, while in Indi it was above the national average ( 61.6 per cent) at 63.1 per cent.
WayOut Wodonga and headspace Albury Wodonga invited members of the LGBTQI community, their family and friends to joint them at Gateway Health in Wodonga for the announcement.
It was a scene of utter joy as the result was announced.
Today is the day we hear the results from this sham plebiscite survey. The campaign has been hard fought, after all we were left to fight this on our own by gutless Gov. Stay strong out there today, let that fire inside keep burning & never be extinguished. #YES ❤️❤️❤️🌈🌈 pic.twitter.com/45mm9qZqgp— Eric Kerr (@EricKerrforIndi) November 14, 2017
