Sydney’s Meriden School Blue defeated Brisbane’s Kelvin Grove State College four matches to two in Wednesday’s final.
“We had an experienced team, but a younger team and Komaki Ido defeated Megan Smith, who just won the WTA Future Stars (tournament) in Singapore,” Meriden coach Ross Anton said.
Siblings Violet and Patricia Apisah, along with Jessica Stanmore, played in the Australian Open earlier this year.
Meriden has now won seven of the past eight titles.
Meanwhile, Brisbane Boys College toppled Sydneysiders, The McDonald College Red team, in the boys.
Brisbane didn’t even need to contest the doubles, winning three matches to one.
“We didn’t really expect that to be honest with you, the boys came out firing,” director of tennis Chris Rolph said.
Dane Sweeny recently represented the Australian under 16 Davis Cup team.
