NSW and Victoria police ran operations at the weekend targeting those heading to and from the Strawberry Fields festival at Tocumwal.
NSW officers caught 58 drivers on drugs, while Victorian police members caught 52.
More than 80 drug possession detections were also made on the NSW side.
Wangaratta Senior Sergeant Darren Wittingslow said Victorian officers had focused on driver behaviour and preventing drug-affected drivers entering the state.
While the number of drivers caught on drugs was disappointing, there were some positives.
“Very pleasingly, there were no reports of road trauma,” he said.
About 6500 people attended the event.
