DOULTON Langlands has joined Murray Bushrangers and North Albury teammate Ben Paton at St Kilda after being selected with pick No.8 in the AFL rookie draft.

Only 72 hours after Paton found his way to the Saints in the draft, the athletic 18-year-old was snapped up following his blistering finish to the TAC Cup home and away series.
Hawthorn used selection No.7 to secure Wodonga midfielder Harry Jones.

Murray Bushrangers coach Leon Higgins said Langlands, who is set to move to Melbourne immediately to start training, dominated late in the season off a wing.
“Doulton was playing some really good footy towards the end of the year,” Higgins said.
“Athletically he’s outstanding.
“His footy has really come along in the past few years and we think he’s a chance to make an impression.”
Jones’s season worked in reverse with the ball-magnet being the best contested ball player in the TAC Cup for the first eight games.
He was then struck down by a stress reaction in his back.
“Harry started the year so well,” Higgins said.
“His first couple of months were outstanding and he was ready to play for Victoria Country when he was injured.”
