Cast and crew spent a week on location in Albury and Wodonga earlier this year.
Stars Shane Jacobson (Kenny, Oddball), Magda Szubanski (Babe, Kath and Kim), Julia Zemiro, Manu Fiedel and Nicholas Hammond will all return to Albury for the premiere and after-party street festival.
Tickets for the premiere and after-party will be on sale from December 4.
Jacobson plays the main character, laid-back suburban everyman Darren "Dazza" Cook, who enters an international barbecuing competition to prove a dubious family connection to Captain James Cook.
Albury youngster Freddy Simpson plays Darren’s son, in what will be his first film role.
