Dozens of High Street shops will open until 7pm on Thursdays until December 21.
Yackandandah lifestyle store 7th Pocket operator Lindy Allen-Smith said it was the first time in many years the historic town had offered extended Christmas trading.
She said a dozen traders stayed open late for the first time this year on November 23.
“A lot of people like the idea to come out after work to do their Christmas shopping,” she said.
“Shoppers can also grab a bite to eat from one of the delicious eateries.”
Yackandandah's a cappella group ViVox will rove the main street singing carols in participating stores.
Artist hub Yackandandah Station, on 6 Turntable Lane, will offer local arts and crafts.
Yackandandah Chamber of Commerce has organised a hamper of goods from the town’s traders valued at $270. Thursday night shoppers will go into the Lucky Shopper draw.
