Droop, who turns 21 on Tuesday, will tackle the 18-hole event on December 13.
“Over the next couple of weeks, I’m just home for a little while and there’s a good chance, if I play OK around there, to win a little bit of money,” Droop said.
The right-hander is a first-year trainee pro at his home club, Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort.

He’s just finished the two biggest events of his rapidly-rising career, starting with the Australian Open in Sydney.
“It was completely different to anything I’ve ever experienced,” Droop said.
“It was huge, the crowds, you get pretty well looked after and rubbing shoulders on the putting greens and ranges with Jordan Spieth and players like that, it’s pretty cool.”
Droop missed the cut there and did likewise at the weekend’s Australian PGA in Queensland.
A record 90 pros have entered the region’s biggest pro-am.
