EARLIER: Kiewa Country Iced Coffee will be back in Border shops by the end of next week.
Kyvalley Dairy Group director Wayne Mulcahy, whose company bought the brand from Murray Goulburn, confirmed the timeframe yesterday.
“We’re saying now ‘the legend is back’, that’s the tagline we’re using,” Mr Mulcahy said.
“It should be on the shelves next Thursday and Friday.”
The Kyabram-based businessman also stressed the milk being used is from the Kiewa Valley.
“No other brand in the market can make this claim because we’re the only ones sourcing milk from the Kiewa Valley,” Mr Mulcahy said.
He criticised Riverina Fresh distributor Linda Coon for saying “the new Kiewa milk product isn’t being distributed by locals and its not made locally”.
Mr Mulcahy said his distributor was based at Myrtleford and Riverina Fresh milk was processed at Wagga rather than the Border.
Milk processing ended at Kiewa in July.
