The classy midfielder stepped down from the role this year as Decha Saisanid took the reins at Glen Park, but returns for another stint.
“It was more Decha stepping away, he was thinking at the start of the season he wanted to take it on for a couple of years, but I think his work got too busy during the year and he wouldn’t be able to keep going,” Grove said.
“I put my hand up and I was happy to take it on again if no-one else wanted it.
“We’ve got a certain style we like playing, so we won’t be going too far off that.”
Grove admitted the biggest test will be covering the loss of AWFA Star Goalkeeper Matt Mildren who has chosen to challenge himself at NPL level with Murray United.
Saisanid, Boomers’ reigning best and fairest winner Dustin Patten and Pieter Noordewier have also committed to the club for another season.
