Registrations are open for the lessons, which cost between $51 and $72.
The Berrigan, Finley and Tocumwal, Oakland and Urana pools will hold the lessons between January 8 and 18.
The NSW Office of Sport will host the lessons.
Statistics show 291 people drowned in Australian waterways in the 2016/17 financial year.
Drownings for children aged up to four increased by 32 per cent.
