Triathlon representatives Nadia Mellor and Jo Homer met with CEO Luke Rumbold to present him the funds as a result of the club’s sell-out women’s meet at Allans Flat, which has now been running for a decade.
Each year, the club chooses a charitable cause to benefit from the ladies’ entrance fees, with Mellor opting for UMFC’s fund.
The absolute best thing about the women's tri is having fun with your girlfriends and other ladies in a very inclusive environment, whilst achieving a goal.

“The absolute best thing about the women's tri is having fun with your girlfriends and other ladies in a very inclusive environment, whilst achieving a goal and supporting a charity like Trust In Kids, knowing that your entry fee is helping those in need,” Mellor said.
Trust in Kids provides a timely boost to vulnerable children and young people in the community when there is nowhere left to turn.
“For these kids and young people, it gives them a sense of hope, a sense of worth, belief, and fun,” Rumbold said.
