Rose has instructed coach Marc Almond not to contact him and he’s respected those wishes.
“I was living by myself, we went down as four mates and I was the only one there, heaps of things just didn’t really add up,” Rose said of his first year with the Roos.
The 27-year old is contracted to the club and Almond said earlier this week the club won’t clear him to join Mansfield.
“It’d be good to play at Mansfield, but if that all falls through, then I’m just going to move home and play rugby league for the Narrandera side because it’s got the team back in this year,” he said.
“I played all my junior rugby league up until 15, and then they (Narrandera) got kicked out of the comp, so I just started following Aussie Rules.
“I’d be happy to go play rugby league, all my family, friends and relatives are playing.”
Rose moved to the Roos this year with four players, including former VFL and SANFL forward James Lawton.

That case appears headed for a tribunal to resolve the issue.
Rose won the Roos’ top award, while Lawton finished third, despite missing six weeks through a previous suspension in the Riverina Football League.
“If it really came down to it, I’d see myself playing rugby league in Narrandera, put it that way,” Rose declared.
The Roos will be banking on former Goulburn Valley star Shaun Huy, along with a batch of district players, to help the club snap a 38-match losing streak, stretching back to late 2015.
The club will start its campaign away to Wangaratta Rovers, which finished second-bottom last year with just the three victories, on March 31.
