The matter involving Adam Jay Azzi, 44, was to have been heard in Albury Local Court on June 7 and 8.
But the Director of Public Prosecutions has now revealed it will not be available on those dates.
After discussions with DPP lawyer Abram Meredith and defence solicitor Mark Cronin, magistrate Rodney Brender instead allocated the dates of September 13 and 14. Azzi is accused of the murder of Lloyd Frederick Kennedy in Lavington on November 6, 2016.
It is alleged that Azzi stabbed Mr Kennedy, 35, outside a house in Webb Street, where repeated attempts were made to revive him.
