The Albury restaurant is now offering an a la carte menu alongside its chef’s five-course tasting menu.
It’s the only venue on the Border to offer both options at every dinner service.
Border Wine Room owner Kate Murray said the changes made the menu more approachable and flexible for diners.
“The degustation had quite firm sitting times,” she said.
“The new a la carte menu makes it more accessible for people who may not have time (for the degustation).”
New head chef Dan Chan (formally of Bistro Selle and Gordon Ramsay's Maze Restaurant) said his effortless fine dining style was based on technique and contemporary flavours.
He said the Euro-Asian fusion menu highlighted hero local produce.
“I’m inspired by the quality of local produce here; things like saltbush from Kate’s own garden,” he said.
“I’m always looking for flavour, not vegetables that look cool but don’t deliver.”
Border Wine Room opens Tuesday to Saturday, bookings from 6pm to 9pm.
