Co-ordinator Troy Gladwell said anyone interested in joining the Volunteer Ambassador Program, which provided training, should make contact at (02) 6041 8813.
“The program aims to ensure that the broader population is aware of the professional services that Vision Australia offers not only those with specific eye conditions but also for people who are losing their sight as they age,” he said.
“Training is offered in the areas of event management, public speaking and in demonstrating the latest in access technology equipment for people who are blind or with low vision.
“The program offers the opportunity to get out and about to many different events, meet new people.”
