Emergency services were called to the incident about 4pm on Wednesday.
A woman reversing out of a small shopping area on Barton Street hit the back of a Holden Captiva.
The vehicle continued up a gutter, through a fence and into a carport and home on the coroner of Deakin Court.
No-one was badly injured, but the Captiva driver was taken to hospital for observations.
Senior Constable Owen Clarke said the matter would be investigated, but could be a case of a person using the accelerator instead of the brake.
“It looks a lot worse than it is,” he said.
“It’s very lucky, particularly this time of day.
“We’ve got a lot of traffic around.”
