A small one hectare grassfire at Cookinburra Road and Felltimber Creek Road started in West Wodonga this morning. This fire is travelling in a southerly direction towards Felltimber Creek Road. The CFA is on the scene and the fire is under control.

With the damaging winds predicted by the Bureau of Meteorology this morning and dry April conditions the CFA is asking people to be vigilant.
“Summer might be over but the weather is still suitable for fire spread. The fire danger period is still in affect.” says David Brown of West Wodonga Station.
Wodonga residents should monitor the situation and be aware of fire trucks in the area.
