Head down to the 2018 Tallangatta Farming Expo

The popular farming expo will be held on Thursday April 19 and with more than 50 exhibitors is expected to draw visitors from far and wide. Opens 9am.
The popular farming expo will be held on Thursday April 19 and with more than 50 exhibitors is expected to draw visitors from far and wide. Opens 9am.

The Tallangatta Farming Expo will be held on Thursday April 19 at the Tallangatta Showgrounds from 9am.

Again there will be plenty on offer with a showcase of exhibitors, activities, talks, stalls and food vans. Entry is free and there will be five lucky gate prizes. Some of the highlights this year include:

  • Drone technology
  • Aerial spraying
  • Mitta Valley Paddock to Plate Producers including Brewery
  • Large range of farm vehicles, machinery and tools
  • General farming exhibits
  • Sustainability workshops
  • Clothing, fashions and crafts
  • Treasures from the Tip competition

This year the expo have introduced ‘Tiny Talks under Towering Trees’ where 15 minute talks will be given every 30 minutes on current topics of interest such as farm biosecurity, soil fertility, control of pests and noxious weeds, and herd fertility.

Exhibits will include those on sustainable farming – including small farming, sustainable living -including renewable energy and innovative building materials. 

The Tallangatta Farming Expo is presented by the community in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Tallangatta.
