Garoni was unstoppable in attack with eight majors as the Bushrangers recovered from a slow start to run-out comfortable victors.
“It was great to see,” coach Leon Higgins said.
“He’s had good periods in games, but this was a really good, strong performance.
“It was his best output.”
It was the biggest haul by a Bushranger since key forward Daniel Johnston kicked eight goals against Bendigo last season.
While Garoni did the damage on the scoreboard, Jake Bradshaw was prolific further afield with help from Ely Smith, Jye Chalcraft, Ajak Dang and Laitham Vandermeer.
The Bushrangers trailed by 19 points at quarter-time before kicking seven goals to one to take a 17-point buffer into half-time.
“All of our midfielders played well, but I thought Jake stood up when we were under pressure early,” Higgins said.
“He played really well.
“It was a good performance after we addressed a few things early.”
Jacob Koschitzke (ankle) and Bradshaw (shoulder) will have fitness tests later this week while Zane Barzen is set to return from an ankle problem.
The Bushrangers take on Greater Western Victoria Rebels at RAMS Arena on Saturday.
