“There’s not much in that car left that’s original,” he laughed.
“It doesn’t really need much doing to it now, I end up working on other people’s old Holdens now.”
Mr Koschel and his Facebook group of Wodonga EJ/EH Holden owners held an inaugural show and shine as part of Albury’s Kiewa Street market on Sunday.
Car lovers could also look at vehicles from the Riverina Sports Car Association on display at the same time.
Mr Koschel said Sunday’s show and shine attracted 25 cars from Wollongong, Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra and the group planned to make it an annual event.
“My first car was an EJ Holden,” he said. “I just fell in love with them … and had one ever since.”
