Formerly known as Electra Cafe, the Albury icon underwent a week-long makeover in late April.
As Thick As Thieves co-owners and siblings Hanna and Sam Kadi said they were thrilled with the impact of the renovation.
Ms Kadi said the internal works had allowed a lot more natural light into the cafe.
“It’s much more uplifting,” she said.
Having worked together at their first business Hawthorn cafe Who’s Harry?, the siblings were drawn to the region after their friends opened Downtown Pizzeria in Albury two years ago.
Head chef Ms Kadi said they offered a contemporary Australian menu with a touch of the Mediterranean.
She said their fusion menu appealed to a wide audience.
“We make everything from scratch,” she said.
“Our ricotta hot cakes with Persian fairy floss are popular as is our big breakfast of spinach, roasted tomatoes, bacon and homemade hash browns.”
A barista by trade, Mr Kadi said they used Prahran-based Niccolo Coffee beans.
Having grown up working in the family’s woodfired pizza restaurant at Ashburton, Mr Kadi said hospitality had been ingrained in him and his four siblings from a young age.
