The Anzac Day march saw band music mingle with footsteps, commands and engines as veterans walked or were driven through the town centre.
Serving personnel, emergency service workers, scouts, guides and school students also took part.
“Someone said there won’t be many kids because of the holidays,” Albury’s Essie Osborne said.
“They were wrong, well and truly.”
Mrs Osborne didn’t have family members marching, but still enjoyed attending.
“It’s very important to see the old people, the really old ones, there’s not many now,” she said.
