Stephen Capello will join the bank in mid-June from BankVic where he also served as chief executive.
His previous roles have included head of technology at ANZ as well as positions in Hungary, Spain and London.
Hume Bank chairman Tony Whiting said the board looked forward to working with Mr Capello to develop the bank’s growth.
