It followed a gritty gut-wrenching loss to the undefeated Nunawading on Saturday night.
The visitors led by three points at three-quarter time, but eight turnovers proved crucial in the 76-69 loss.
“We coughed the ball up a couple of times and that’s just a young, developing group and, as we train and play more together, we’ll get better,” coach Jim Wilson said.
Nunawading’s Vanessa Panousis posted 21 points, while Marena Whittle chipped in with 15.
Imports Kristi Mokube (22) and Emilee Harmon (16) provided most of the attacking spark.
