“At the start of the first half we had a good run of the play, but our execution let us down,” he said.
“A couple of knock-ons, a couple of silly dispossessions and it let them off the hook and they came back and scored a couple of quick tries each time.
“I’m just a bit disappointed with the way we’re tracking at the moment.”
The Steamers had a horror start against top teams Leeton and Wagga Waratahs, but bounced back to grab their first win against Ag College, before rounding out the opening month with an away draw against Griffith.
The Steamers were missing five regulars, including Blake Le Cornu.
“Dave Cooper-Dunn in the forwards was rock solid, he just doesn’t make a mistake,” Musarra said.
