GUN shots were fired in the main street of Corryong on Friday night with police laying one charge against a 34-year-old man as part of an ongoing investigation.

The incident has also resulted in police taking possession of two cars which collided at the time of the incident around 7.30pm and a search warrant issued on a rural property at nearby Biggara.
Forensic testing will be carried out on both vehicles in coming days including tests for gunshot residue.
Wodonga detective Ray Causer said the 34-year-old had been charged with conduct endangering serious injury.
“There has been a firearms incident,” he said.
“Police are investigating the possibility it was discharged in the main street.
“Police are also hoping to speak to anyone who witnessed the car crash in the main street or the firearm incident shortly beforehand.”
A debutante ball was about to start at the nearby Corryong Memorial Hall at the time of the incident.
