A man is due to appear in Albury Local Court today charged over the alleged murder of his partner.

Paramedics were called to a home in Olive Street, Albury about 7.45 am last Monday, responding to reports a woman had sustained severe facial injuries.
Officers from Murray River Police District were called to the scene and began inquiries.
The 46-year-old woman was taken to Albury Base Hospital in a critical condition, where she later died.
Police arrested a 43-year-old man about midday of the same day in Lambert Park, Albury, and took him to Albury Police Station where he was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was refused bail to appear in Albury Local Court on Tuesday, May 1, where he was remanded in custody.
Detectives attached to Strike Force Merriwee have now charged that man with murder.
He is due to appear in Albury Local Court today.
