Yarrawonga has capped the record-breaking achievement of Xavier Leslie with a 19.18 (132) to 4.11 (35) demolition of Myrtleford.

Leslie became the club’s games record-holder with 266, passing the mark of league Hall Of Famer Ken “Pascoe” Ellis.

“He does everything right,” coach Damian Sexton said.

“I said to him both before and after the game, ‘not only are you getting to a milestone, you’re going to roll past it’.

“He hasn’t been given his games, he’s earnt his games.”

Jess Koopman kicked six to claim best on ground, boom recruit Harry Wheeler was dynamic, while Mark Whiley booted three goals, his best output of the season.
