After losing to Brothers and Southcity by one and four points respectively, it was more heartache for coach Adrian Purtell as his side wasted another golden opportunity.
Purtell led superbly from the front again while Jon Huggett, Brad Hill and Joe Lumb got through a power of work.
“It’s disappointing,” club president Rick O’Connell said.
“A couple of mistakes hurt us again.
“We had a quiet patch after half-time when they put two tries on us and we can’t afford to do that.
“We need to regroup in a hurry.”
Star recruit Joel Monaghan was unavailable for the clash but is set to take on winless Young at Greenfield Park next Sunday.
Meanwhile, Monaro defeated Riverina 38-10 on Saturday.
