WHILE the logo and signage of Rhino Tanks has changed since the business was recently acquired by Kingspan Environmental, customers can still expect the same great  water tanks produced in Australia.

Now known as Kingspan Rhino, while the company is currently going through an exciting evolution, one that will mean more opportunities for its loyal customer base, it will still be manufacturing the hard wearing, long lasting rural and commercial tanks Rhino Tanks built its reputation on.

Forging a new look

Eastern States Operations Manager for Kingspan Environmental, Chris Butcher says while the rhino has been removed from the logo it is still business as usual for the growing company.

“Kingspan’s logo features a lion, so we have updated the Rhino logo to support our parent brand,” Mr Butcher said.

“So visibly there are some changes, but our water tanks are the same – they are still made in Perth from BlueScope Steel and lined with the most stable and safest food grade materials available.” he explained.

With the new signage comes a new era for the company’s Deniliquin distribution centre, with plans to capture new markets and grow their network of distributors and installers.

Kingspan Environmental have renewed their lease in Deniliquin for another three years.

“It is business as usual here in Deniliquin.

“We are three hours from Melbourne and close to the Riverina. It’s a huge advantage – we are not going anywhere,” Mr Butcher said.

“We will continue to employ local people and support local suppliers where possible, including suppliers in Echuca, Shepparton and Albury.

Overseeing the Rhino brand of Kingspan operations, Commercial Director Kingspan, Peter Jefferies said  both companies hold the same high business values and ethics.

“We are constantly innovating and improving the quality of the product while still offering the most competitive price possible,” Mr Jefferies said.

“The challenge is to convince the customers to focus on quality not just on the cheapest product.”

The broader range of products offered by Kingspan Rhino positions the company well to capture new markets domestically and around the world.

He said while the rhino head had to go, the things customers love about Rhino Tanks such as the corrugated profile, the use of Bluescope steel and genuine Colorbond will stay the same.

“The product is remaining the same and the range of tanks is still Rhino, but the company is Kingspan – which is an extremely strong brand in itself and known worldwide.”

He believes one of the major benefits of this is, as a whole company Kingspan Rhino can now offer a broader range of products including residential tanks, wastewater tanks, diesel storage tanks as well as the traditional Rhino range.

Other markets

The Kingspan Environmental identity, too is well-known across a range of different spheres, including rainwater harvesting and storage, wastewater treatment, diesel storage, and wind and solar building products.

The acquisition of Rhino Tanks is a further indication of a company on the move and with a desire to offer a full suite of sustainable solutions to its Australian customers.

Chris Butcher agrees this broader range of products positions the company well to capture new markets domestically and around the world.

“Along with our Kingspan Rhino Rural range, we also offer residential made-to-measure water tanks with capacities ranging from 500 litres to 29,000 litres across the eastern states and our new BioDisc sewage treatment range Australia-wide.

“While our commercial range goes up to a capacity of approximately two million litres,” he said.

“Kingspan Environmental is recognised globally as a provider of water management, energy storage, renewable energy, service and telemetry.

“Kingspan produce other products including waste water treatment solutions, diesel storage tanks, solar and wind power products, so there is a huge potential to grow in the future and expand into other markets,” he explained.

The capacity for Kingspan Rhino to become a “one-stop-shop” for those in the market for sustainable water and energy answers is a compelling new chapter in the Rhino story.
