A dominant second quarter allowed the Murray Felines to romp to their maiden victory in the AFL North East Border Female Football League on Sunday.

The Felines piled on five goals to one in the second term, before running out 8.5 (53) to 3.4 (22) winners against Alpine Lions.

Thurgoona moved a win clear on top of the ladder with a 16.10 (106) to 3.2 (20) victory against nearest rivals Lavington.

The class of Alyce Parker and Iilish Ross shone through for the Bulldogs.

Wodonga Raiders returned to winning ways with a 12.6 (78) to 0.5 (5) triumph over Wangaratta Rovers.

Amber Jarrott booted five goals in a best-on-ground performance.

This weekend, the Murray Felines face a huge task against Thurgoona, Wangaratta Rovers will chase its second victory at home to Yarrawonga, while Lavington tackles Wodonga Raiders.
