The operator has confirmed eight scheduled services have been cancelled since Sunday and replaced by buses.
Two Albury trains had to replaced on Sunday due to a signal fault on the ARTC network, which then caused a fault to a V/Line train approaching the area.
The train continued its journey at reduced speed and returned to Melbourne for repairs, but it had flow-on effects with cancellations and bus replacements on Monday and Tuesday.
A separate Albury-bound train was cancelled on Tuesday due to maintenance requirements and on Wednesday morning an Albury to Southern Cross service originated at Benalla station due to a fatality involving a freight train at Wangaratta.
“We sincerely apologise to Albury line passengers for disruptions caused by unplanned service changes this week,” a V/Line spokesperson said.
