Another victim – who asked not to be named – realised he had also been targeted a short time earlier, along with his mother’s house nearby.
His wife had initially thought her wallet was misplaced at their Hartwig Road home, but later found it in the backyard with the cash removed.
“My wife is rattled – it’s never nice to have someone in your house,” the father of one said.
The properties are located near a green belt, which the wanted man is thought to have used.
Detectives are trying to track the man down and have appealed for information.
