While the league scored convincing wins over the Ovens and King in the senior and under-18 matches at Howlong on Saturday, officials were disappointed an under-14 match wasn’t able to be scheduled.
League president Brendan I’Anson said the competition would only find out next season’s interleague schedule later this year.
“We have definitely got to get the under-14s back,” I’Anson said.
“You need inter-league footy for the kids.
“A lot of our kids will play Hume league for the rest of their lives and it’s a great opportunity for them.
“We are keen to have the seniors and under 17 and 14s next season so hopefully we can find a good fit.”
Hume has defeated Riverina, Tallangatta and District and Hume in senior ranks for the past three seasons with coaches Josh Walker and Brent Piltz building formidable line-ups.
