AWJFL Red defeated AWJFL Black by 26 points to win the under-14 final on Sunday while Wangaratta White accounted for AWJFL Black by 16 points in the under-16s.
Coached by Lee Fraser, AWJFL Red were undefeated with Yarrawonga’s Hunter Surrey and Caleb Mitchell and Wodonga’s Oliver Hollands playing well in the decider.
Wangaratta White were best served by Declan Bren and Noah Campbell.
Tallangatta and District’s Finn Osborne was named player of the carnival in the under-14s while AWJFL Red’s Max Glass won the under-16s award.
The carnival has been running for 13 years with matches played at Norm Minns Oval and W.J. Findlay Oval.
Wangaratta, AWJFL and Tallangatta and District fielded sides.
