For the second straight year, Border footballer Jarrod Redcliffe has been picked for Victoria Country for next month’s AFL National Inclusion Carnival.
Redcliffe is the only player from the Wodonga Jets all abilities team playing at the event in Launceston from June 18 to 23.
He represented the Jets during round one of the VFFL Australia Northern Conference carnival at John Flower Oval this month.
The Jets claimed three victories and a draw from their four matches, opening their account with a 4.2 (27) to 0.0 (0) defeat of Wangaratta Merriwa Magpies.
They backed it up with a 7.3 (45) to 1.1 (7) triumph against GV Stars, before a 1.2 (8) apiece draw with Bendigo Dockers.
The home side finished strongly to defeat Echuca-Moama Rockets 5.0 (30) to 1.2 (8), to finish the day equal with Bendigo.
Steve Reeves has been appointed head coach of the Victoria Country side.
