Bill Haire, of The Haire Truck & Bus Repairs, has become renowned throughout the industry as the go-to guy for those tricky repairs.

Bill, who is originally from Tallangatta, grew up on the farm and spent his formative years as a mechanic with Alfarm Industries, travelling the district repairing tractors, slashers, balers and so much more.

Mr Haire incorporated the business in the early 1990s.

He is well versed on what the industry needs, and has been around long enough to understand that good old-fashioned service still counts.

When Haire’s was approached by Walterscheid to become the local stockist of the well-known agricultural brand, they jumped at the opportunity.

“Having a long-established relationship with their sister company, Hardy Spicer, having stocked Hardy Spicer hydraulic and driveline components for some 15 plus years, Haire’s understood the quality and support they would be able to offer to their existing and new customers with the new alliance being formed,” Bill said.

“We have invested heavily in new stock, to ensure we have what you need during the cropping and harvest seasons, from tube, uni’s and yokes to complete shafts and cover sets.”

Haire’s also has an in-house machine shop, and are often seen modifying components to accommodate a temporary fix if parts are not available on the day, understanding the impact of rain on that last run of hay.

“Haire’s have many years’ experience in hydraulic repairs and servicing, we stock and manufacture Hardy Spicer hydraulic hoses,” Bill said. “We also have a large range of hydraulic seals and o’rings in stock, and the expertise to repair hydraulic cylinders in house.”

Haire’s also offers a full range of repairs and servicing to a wide range of vehicles, including tractors, trucks, four-wheel-drives and trailers.

With the season expected a little later this year, Haire’s encouraged customers to get a jump on those maintenance jobs left in the shed from last season.
